UFC Fighter Calls Michelle Obama a Man, Media Immediately Forgets Every Real Problem in America

WASHINGTON, D.C. — America got exactly what America deserves last night.

Josh Hokit at UFC Freedom 250 - Michelle Obama Is A Man - MickeyX3.com

A UFC fight on the White House lawn.

No, that's not satire.

That's an actual sentence I can type without alcohol being involved.

During UFC Freedom 250, heavyweight fighter Josh Hokit defeated Derrick Lewis in front of President Trump, Joe Rogan, thousands of fans, and enough Secret Service agents to invade a medium-sized country.

Then he grabbed a microphone and delivered what can only be described as the most efficient media distraction in modern history.

"MICHELLE OBAMA IS A MAN!"

Ladies and gentlemen...

The fight was over.

The internet had its winner.

Poor Derrick Lewis.

The man spent months training, cutting weight, getting punched in the face, punching another guy in the face, and fighting on the lawn of the White House.

By breakfast this morning, nobody was talking about the fight.

Nobody was talking about who won.

Nobody was talking about the scorecards.

Instead, America immediately launched into its 9,847th debate about Michelle Obama.

At this point that conspiracy theory qualifies for Medicare.

Within minutes every newsroom in America went into DEFCON 1.

Editors were screaming.

Producers were panicking.

Fact-checkers were fact-checking fact-checkers.

CNN probably called an emergency meeting.

MSNBC likely brought in a grief counselor.

And somewhere in a dark basement a BuzzFeed writer whispered:

"This is our moment."

The funniest part?

Nothing happened.

The republic survived.

Democracy survived.

The Constitution survived.

The White House didn't collapse.

The military wasn't deployed.

Nobody lost access to Netflix.

America simply kept being America.

Meanwhile, normal Americans reacted the way normal Americans always react.

They laughed.

Not because they necessarily agreed.

Not because they necessarily disagreed.

But because a shirtless cage fighter standing on the White House lawn screaming conspiracy theories into a microphone while Joe Rogan watches in real time is objectively funny.

You couldn't write a better comedy sketch if Hollywood tried.

Actually, Hollywood would probably spend $200 million making it and somehow make it less entertaining.

The media spent the next twelve hours treating a UFC post-fight interview like it was the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Twelve hours.

Not twelve days.

Not twelve weeks.

One night.

A fighter says something outrageous and suddenly every journalist in America is acting like DEFCON levels need to be reviewed.

Most Americans, meanwhile, spent those same twelve hours worrying about things that actually affect their lives.

Gas prices.

Groceries.

Mortgage payments.

Boat payments.

Whether the beer fridge in the garage is fully stocked.

And by this morning, a lot of Americans noticed something hilarious.

Gas prices were lower than they were before Hokit grabbed the microphone.

Now before the fact-checkers start hyperventilating, let me be clear.

I am not saying Josh Hokit caused gas prices to fall.

That would be irresponsible journalism.

I'm simply presenting the timeline.

At approximately 9 p.m., a UFC fighter yelled "Michelle Obama is a man" on the White House lawn.

By morning, gas was cheaper.

Those are just facts.

You may draw your own conclusions.

The real lesson here is that America's political class thinks we're all obsessed with whatever outrage they're selling this week.

Most people aren't.

Most people care about paying bills.

Feeding their families.

Taking the boat out on Saturday.

Having a few beers with friends.

And not getting financially waterboarded every time they stop at a gas station.

The media spent all night pretending civilization was hanging by a thread.

Most Americans spent all night sending memes to each other.

That's why the media keeps losing.

They think they're covering history.

Everyone else thinks they're watching a comedy.

And honestly?

Everyone else might be right.

Because if you had told George Washington that 250 years after founding this country, a shirtless heavyweight fighter would stand on the White House lawn screaming about Michelle Obama while Joe Rogan held the microphone and millions of Americans argued about it on their phones...

He probably would've stared at you for ten seconds and asked:

"What the hell is a Joe Rogan?"

God bless America.

No nation in human history has ever been this ridiculous.

And that's exactly why I love it.
