CHAIN O' LAKES AREA — Local officials and residents across the Chain O' Lakes area are preparing for potential rising water levels, with concerns that conditions could rival or exceed the flooding seen in 2017.
Sand and sandbags are currently available at Fox Lake Public Works, located off Washington Street behind the fire house, as efforts ramp up to protect lakefront properties and surrounding communities.

Residents along the waterfront have already begun extensive preparations, working to secure their homes against possible flooding. Community members are now being asked to assist in these efforts as conditions develop.
Anyone willing to volunteer is encouraged to head to the Public Works location to help with sandbagging and other flood prevention measures.

With water levels expected to rise, local leaders and residents are emphasizing the importance of early preparation and community support to minimize potential damage.
