WHAT THE ILLINOIS GOP WON'T SAY OUT LOUD
READ THIS BEFORE YOU VOTE
I'm done being polite.
Every time Republicans lose in Illinois, the same excuse gets recycled:
"The candidate wasn't electable."
You heard it after 2022. You're hearing it again right now.
"This guy can win." "This guy can't win." "This one plays better in the suburbs."
It's lazy. It's wrong. And it's killing this party.
HERE IS THE TRUTH
Illinois Republicans do not have a candidate problem.
They have an infrastructure problem.
That's it.
If candidates were the deciding factor, Illinois would not look the way it does right now.
Elections today are not about who gave the best speech or who looked the best on TV.
They are about one thing.
Turnout.
DEMOCRATS BUILT A MACHINE
While Republicans argue, Democrats operate.
- They identify voters who barely pay attention to politics.
- They contact them over and over.
- They push early voting and mail ballots.
- They track who voted and who didn't.
- They follow up until the ballot is in.
They do not stop. They do not guess. They execute.
That is why results are often decided before Election Day even arrives.
REPUBLICANS ARE STILL PLAYING AN OLD GAME
Meanwhile Republicans are stuck arguing about messaging, personalities, and who is "electable."
That world is gone.
Illinois now has an election season, not an election day.
Weeks of voting. Weeks of opportunities. Weeks where one side is working and the other side is hoping.
Hope is not a strategy.
WHY MENDRICK IS CONNECTING
Look at James Mendrick.
Here is why people are paying attention to him whether the insiders like it or not:
- He is not scripted.
- He is not consultant built.
- He actually connects with real voters.
- He brings energy from people who are usually ignored.
That matters.
Because energy is where turnout starts.
But here is the part most people still miss:
Energy alone is not enough.
Without the machine, even the strongest candidate gets buried.
With the machine, a candidate like Mendrick becomes very hard to stop.
THE REAL QUESTION
Stop asking: "Who is electable?"
Start asking: "Do we have the system to turn support into votes?"
Because that is the only question that matters.
Right now, the honest answer is no.
THE SOLUTION
It is not complicated. It just takes work.
- Build real voter lists.
- Track who has voted.
- Follow up with the people who have not.
- Organize at the local level.
- Treat this like a month long election, not a one day event.
Do the work. Win the election.
HERE IS THE PART PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO HEAR
Arguing online does nothing. Posting about your favorite candidate does nothing. Calling someone unelectable does nothing.
If you care about the outcome, it starts with action.
TOMORROW IS WHERE IT MATTERS
Not in the comments. Not in arguments. Not in theories about electability.
At the ballot box.
If you believe in what James Mendrick is saying, show up. If you support someone else, show up.
Just show up.
Vote.
Bring someone with you who normally would not go.
That is how things change.
FINAL WORD
You can keep repeating the same excuses.
Or you can take this seriously.
Support who you want.
But get out and vote tomorrow.
